Sukosol Hotels to Open Wave Hotel Pattaya in April

Sukosol Hotels, the family-owned Thai hotel group, is scheduled to open its fifth hotel - Wave, in April 2013.

Comprising just 21 rooms, Wave is located beside Central Festival shopping mall in front of the group's existing The Bayview hotel, right in the middle of bustling Beach Road on the shorefront of Pattaya Bay.

Wave's 21 rooms (all doubles, no twins) comprise 18 Sunset Rooms measuring 45 sqm, and 3 Twilight Rooms with 52 sqm of space.

A Cadillac Caf restaurant, seating 40 indoors and out, will serve unique lava stone grill dishes, while the Cabana Bar on the rooftop will be a perfect place to enjoy the view and chill. For recreation, the hotel will feature a swimming pool.

Sukosol Hotels is helmed by Thai businesswoman Kamala Sukosol. Speaking of this latest property, Khun Sukosol said, "Wave is my fifth child. For the past thirty years I have worked to develop and continually improve Sukosol Hotels and I am very proud of what we have achieved. Moving forward, Wave marks an exciting new chapter for my hotelier family, with its unique design and young energetic feel, Im sure its going to be a massive hit in Pattaya."

Prices are expected to start at around Baht 5,000++ a night (with ABF).

Rebranded as Sukosol Hotels last year, the group is going from strength to strength. The launch of the 39-suite riverside urban resort The Siam, Bangkok which opened in June 2012, was praised worldwide as one of Bangkoks most exciting openings of the year. The Siam was collaboratively designed by world renowned American architect Bill Bensley, and movie star-cum-interior designer Krissada Sukosol Clapp.

With the addition of Wave, Sukosol Hotels now comprises five properties. The portfolio includes The Sukosol, Bangkok (470 rooms); Siam Bayshore, Pattaya (270 rooms); The Bayview, Pattaya (260 rooms); The Siam, Bangkok (39 rooms) and Wave, Pattaya (21 rooms).
