Mark Simmons Joins Outrigger as VP Sales and Marketing - Asia Pacific

Mark Simmons has been appointed as Vice President Sales and Marketing, Asia Pacific, effective 5 June 2013.

Mr. Simmons, an Australian national with over 23 years' experience in hospitality in Asia Pacific, most of it in sales and marketing, will be based at the Outrigger regional headquarters in Phuket, Thailand.

He will report to Mr. Darren Edmonstone, Outrigger Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Outrigger, Mr. Simmons was Vice President Sales and Marketing for SilverNeedle Hospitality, based in Singapore. He has held senior executive positions at the Preferred Hotel Group and at Delivering Asia, both in Hong Kong.

Mr. Simmons has also been responsible for senior sales and marketing and operations positions in Asia Pacific at the Landmark Bangkok, Accor Asia Pacific, Century International Hotels, Jumeirah International, and Radisson Hotels.

Mr. Simmons has a Marketing degree from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia. He also completed a Senior Hotel Management course with the School of Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
