JATA Certifies 23 Companies in Quality Assurance System for Tour Operators

On 1 April 2013, the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) started accepting applications for the Quality Assurance System for Tour Operators, which certifies the quality of inbound tour operators.

The Quality Assurance Review Committee has now certified 23 companies. The certified companies will receive a registration certificate and will be allowed to use the certification mark.

The quality assurance system accepts applications and assesses applicants twice a year. The second application period is 1-31 July 2013.

The 23 companies are:

Nippon Travel Agency Co., Ltd.

HANKYU TRAVEL INTERNATIONAL CO ., LTD.

Meitetsu World Travel Inc.

Japan Gray Line Co., Ltd.

ANA Sales Co., Ltd

JTB Corp.

Tonnichi Travel Service Co., Ltd.

TOPTOUR CORPORATION

JTB Global Marketing & Travel Inc.

Kintetsu International.

CYTS JAPAN CO.,LTD.

Travel Innovation Japan Inc.

JTB Western Japan. Corp.

JTB KYUSHU Corp.

JTB OKINAWA Corp.

JAPAN HOLIDAY TRAVEL CO., LTD.

JR EAST VIEW TRAVEL SERVICE CO., LTD

JTB Tokyo Metropolitan Corp.

The Quality Assurance System for Tour Operators has been designed to increase tourists to Japan by improving the quality of the tour operator industry and tour products.

It assesses the quality of operators from three perspectives (legal compliance, quality management and service level, and CRS) and certifies operators who satisfy the predefined criteria.
