Dusit has unveiled plans to open a new dusitD2 hotel in Khao Yai, Thailand.

The 79-room hotel, scheduled to open Q4 2014, will be part of Phuphatara Khao Yai, a residential development by Vilailux Development Co. Ltd..

Owned by major shareholders of the telecommunications firm Samart Corporation, the company plans to build villas and condominiums in addition to the hotel in the flourishing Khao Yai area.

The hotel, dusitD2 khao yai, will be managed and operated by Dusit International.

Of the villas and condominiums to be built at Phuphatara Khao Yai, several will be part of a leaseback rental pool program.

“We are so pleased to have Dusit International partner with us on our second hotel enterprise,” said president of Vilailux Development, Ms Oraphan Laoprapatsorn. “Our vision is to have at least three hotels in our portfolio, and dusitD2 is the perfect fit for this project.”

dusitD2 khao yai is an inspired winery / vineyard concept boasting a grill restaurant, banquet-style meeting room, outdoor event lawn, a hot spring spa and multi-purpose library.

The Phuphatara Khao Yai development is located around two hours from Bangkok, and is only 13 kms from Khao Yai National Park, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site in 2005.

With easy access to scenic mountain ranges, waterfalls, family-run dairy farms and charming vineyards such as PB and GranMonte, Khao Yai is fast emerging as one of Thailand’s top new holiday destinations.
