Tigerair is celebrating its 9th birthday this month with a lineup of birthday treats to reward its customers.

The Singapore-based airline will kick off a series of four promotional activities, with a new treat to be launched nearly every week.

The carrier’s birthday festivities begin with a 9-cent treat, and customers who participate in any of these four birthday activities will automatically qualify for a grand lucky draw, where three lucky winners will each walk away with a set of tickets for nine to Boracay, Yangon or Phnom Penh.

The 9-cent treat is available on flights to the following nine destinations:

• Boracay
• Ho Chi Minh
• Hyderabad
• Krabi
• Macau
• Penang
• Phnom Penh
• Phuket
• Yogyakarta

This exclusive one-time 9-cent fare (exclusive of taxes and other charges) is valid for one way travel and available for booking from 3 to 5 September. The travel period for each destination may vary, beginning from 19 October 2013 to 31 May 2014.

Chief Commercial Officer of Tigerair, Alexander Knigge, said, “As part of our new brand relaunch, our 9th birthday celebration symbolises our commitment to our customers, enabling them to accumulate great experiences and memories. We are happy to offer a slew of fun and engaging birthday treats, bringing relaxation, joy and adventure to the hearts on our customers.”

To add on to the celebratory occasion, the carrier will also be launching a new route to Lijiang, one of China’s most well preserved ancient towns, this month.

“Over the past year, we have introduced several value-added services and products such as Tigerconnect, Tigerapp, and online Tigerbites, each tailored to enhance the travel experience of our customers. We will continue to be nimble on our feet and launch newer, more exciting routes, as well as more value-added services for our customers,” added Mr Knigge.
