Malindo Air to Launch KL - Dhaka Flights

Malindo Air is to launch daily non-stop Boeing 737-900ER scheduled flights between Kuala Lumpur and Dhaka on 28 August 2013.

“This new service clearly demonstrates Malindo Air’s commitment to expand air connectivity for the mutual benefit of our countries and people,” said Chief Executive Officer of Malindo Air, Mr Chandran Rama Muthy. “Malindo Air plans to enhance Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s footprint as a key regional gateway to the ASEAN region. Thanks to our new Kuala Lumpur-Dhaka service, people from Bangladesh now have more choice when it comes to travelling to Malaysia. We will also be encouraging Bangladesh business and leisure travellers to connect to our other international flights.”

Malindo Air’s immediate expansion plan includes flights from Kuala Lumpur to Bali, Jakarta, Medan and the island of Batam in Indonesia.

Malindo Air operates brand new Boeing 737-900ERs (extended range). The airline’s all leather-seats have seat pitches of 45 inches in business-class and 32 inches in economy-class, and every passenger seat comes with an inflight entertainment system that includes a personal TV for watching movies, TV programs and other shows. WiFi will be available in October.

Specifically for Dhaka route, Malindo provides its business-class customers baggage allowances of 40kg. For economy-class travellers it is 35kg for those travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Dhaka, and 25kg for those travelling from Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur.
