AirAsia has expanded its Fly-Thru Service to two more cities in India, Kolkata and Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), in addition to Chennai and Kochi.

With this, passengers can now fly direct to a total of four cities in India, via a stopover at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, using the AirAsia Fly-Thru Service.

The Fly-Thru service for the two cities is available with immediate effect. Travellers looking to travel to Kolkata and Trichy will fly to Kuala Lumpur for transit, and be given access to the transit hall upon arrival, they will then need to be at the departure gate at least 20 minutes before their connecting flight.

The Fly-Thru service eliminates the need for guests to re-check in their baggage when connecting to their next flight to the final destination.

AirAsia first launched the Fly-Thru Service in 2011 with the objective of allowing passengers to enjoy a more seamless journey with the convenience of a single check-in service.
