The Sunshine Coast is fast becoming a mecca for sporting enthusiasts, and is gearing up for another action-packed year with a host of triathlons, marathons and endurance events filling the calendar.

Mantra and BreakFree resorts are making the most of these events by offering participants the perfect place to recover. Events include:

28 June - 6 July: Rainbow Beach Family Fishing Classic

The annual Rainbow Beach Family Fishing Classic, held over eight days in July, is the perfect opportunity to combine a beach holiday with a fun family sporting event.

15 September: IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast

Competitors will race through Mooloolaba, starting with a swim off Mooloolaba's surf beach followed by a flat and fast cycle course. Sporting champions will join amateur competitors at the Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival. Held at Queensland’s famous Noosa Beach the annual festival is one of the world’s largest annual multi-sport events and culminates with the Noosa Triathlon.
