Jerry Byrd to Perform Jazz Night @ Vue Bar in Bangkok

The highly acclaimed Jazz musician, Jerry Byrd, will perform at a special Jazz Night hosted at the Vue Bar of the Hansar Hotel in Bangkok next month.

After many years of traveling around the world, Jerry Byrd has had several concert appearances with jazz greats such as Roland Kirk, Jack McDuff, Sonny Stitt, Lonnie Smith, Dizzy Gillespie, Frank Foster and Slide Hampton.

On his return to Pittsburgh, Jerry Byrd started to play with The Gene Ludwig Trio. Together they played for Etta Jones, Big MaeBelle, Lou Donaldson  and Ernestine Anderson to name just a few culminating with a big hit on Atlantic Records called “Sticks and Stones”.

During a tour in Europe and America with the great Sam Rivers, Jerry was introduced to legendary pianist and vocalist Freddy Cole as well as Natalie Cole. This lead to a long term partnership with the jazz greats.

This special event, taking place on 1 May 2013 at the Vue Bar of the Hansar Bangkok, is free of cover charge.

Special canapés and a wine buffet as well as food from Café Boca and Eve Restaurant are available during the event. Jerry Byrd Trio will be playing from 19:30-21:30.
