Watchara Gamhanghanpanich Appointed Executive Chef at Muthi Maya, Khao Yai

Mr. Watchara Gamhanghanpanich has been appointed as Executive Chef of the luxurious Muthi Maya resort in Khao Yai, Thailand.

Chef Watchara has over 22 years of culinary experience. After completing his training at the Cooking and Tourism Institute in Chonburi, he then spent 10 years with the Four Seasons Bangkok working up through the ranks in various positions and outlets, to become a Sous Chef at Madison.

He then worked at Banyan’s Tree’s Vertigo Restaurant, and at the Hua Hin Marriott before taking on a Consultant and Executive Chef role at the Contrazi Restaurant and then the Tank Aqua Café and Restaurant.

From there he returned to the five-star hotel arena, initially with the Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Bangkok as part of the pre-opening team, before holding positions Sous Chef positions at the Pattaya Marriott, Swissotel Nai Lert Park and The Millennium Hilton Bangkok as Executive Sous Chef.

He has also represented Thailand at International food promotions in the US, UK and Europe, and has won several medals in Culinary Arts Competitions.
