Asian Trails and Kuoni Destination Management Asia Pacific Appoints New CEO

Luzi Matzig, currently CEO Asian Trails and Kuoni Destination Management Asia Pacific, is moving on to a strategic role as Chairman of Asian Trails and Kuoni Destination Management Asia Pacific.

Laurent Kuenzle has been appointed Asian Trails and Kuoni Destination Management Asia Pacific’s new CEO.

Both will assume their new responsibilities as of 1 January 2014.

Luzi Matzig was instrumental in the development of tourism to South East Asia and founded Asian Trails in 1999. He developed Asian Trails into one of the leading DMCs. His vision and leadership enabled Asian Trails to constantly adapt to fast changing market conditions. In his new role as Chairman, Luzi will continue to advise the management team of Asian Trails with broad-based expertise in strategic and business development.

Laurent Kuenzle co-founded Asian Trails in 1999 and became the Group Managing Director in 2007. His expertise in operations and business development as well as his strategic thinking ensured Asian Trails’ profitable growth.
