Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) has appointed Vickie Singer as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications, effective Monday, 24 June 2013.

Singer has more than 20 years experience in the travel industry. For the past four years, numerous leading travel organizations including AARP Travel, National Geographic Travel and the Society of Government Travel Professionals turned to Singer as an independent consultant to develop digital marketing and product strategies.

Prior to that, she was Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and General Manager for TravelCom at the U.S. Travel Association for three years.

"After meeting the DMAI executives, it was clear our vision for a collaborative industry was aligned," said Singer. "My expertise in blending the art of marketing and the science of technology to deliver real world results supports DMAI's goals. I am ecstatic to be a part of their progressive team in support of destinations globally."

Singer holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Sciences from East Tennessee State University. She succeeds Kristen Clemens who, after twelve years of service, left the association to pursue another position.
