Raffles Signs Hotel in Shenzhen

Raffles Hotels & Resorts has signed a new hotel located in Shenzhen, southern China.

Raffles Shenzhen will open in 2018 occupying the top floors of an 80-storey tower in the new One Shenzhen Bay development.

Developed by Parkland Real Estate Development Co. Ltd, One Shenzhen Bay has a gross floor area of approximately 470,000 square metres and includes office space, luxury residences, high-end commercial space, and a 338-metre tall signature tower that will house Raffles Shenzhen.

Located at the Houhai Lake Park in Shenzhen Bay, One Shenzhen Bay is well positioned to benefit from the continued economic development in Shenzhen. With the Hong Kong bridge and border crossing located just opposite One Shenzhen Bay, Raffles Shenzhen is only 30 minutes drive from Central, Hong Kong.

Commenting on Raffles Shenzhen, Mr Peter French, President, Raffles Hotels & Resorts said, “Shenzhen has been at the forefront of China’s phenomenal growth, and innovative developments such as One Shenzhen Bay will ensure that the city continues to play a leading role in international trade, shipping, tourism and finance. Raffles Shenzhen will feature 200 luxurious guestrooms and serviced residences all with expansive views, four restaurants and bars, private meeting and event spaces for business meetings and social gatherings, as well as a Raffles Spa.

This signing of the Raffles Shenzhen hotel management agreement follows the successful opening of Raffles Hainan on 1 September 2013. Raffles Shenzhen will be Raffles Hotels & Resorts’ third hotel in China.
