Starwood Opens Second St. Regis Hotel in Abu Dhabi

Starwood has opened its second St. Regis hotel in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the U.A.E..

The hotel is the brands third St. Regis hotel to open in the Middle East since the brand was introduced into the region two years ago.

The hotel, owned by International Capital Trading, is part of Nation Towers on the vibrant Corniche.

The St. Regis Abu Dhabi features 283 guest rooms, including 55 suites, all offering panoramic waterfront views of the Persian Gulf.

The St. Regis Abu Dhabi boasts the worlds highest suspended hotel suite, the first Gary Rhodes restaurant in Abu Dhabi and the first Hommage Gentlemans Grooming Atelier in the United Arab Emirates.

The extravagant Abu Dhabi Suite is positioned a lofty 650 feet above ground between the two towers and offering magnificent panoramic views of the Persian Gulf, the Corniche and the city skyline. Spanning over 11,600 square feet, the suite combines contemporary design with a traditional Arabic influence. The opulent suite features cascading strands of crystals, 24-carat gold leaf accents, leather wall tiles, jewel-toned velvet upholstered walls and intricate glass mosaic patterns. The Abu Dhabi Suite features three bedrooms, a grand majlis with a soaring ceiling, luxurious spa and movie theatre as well as a kitchen, dining room, fully-equipped gym and private elevator access.

The St. Regis Abu Dhabi offers eight culinary venues including Rhodes 44, the first restaurant in Abu Dhabi by famed Michelin-starred chef Gary Rhodes. The hotel also introduces Villa Toscana serving regional specialties from Tuscany, Umbria and Emilia-Romagna in Italy. Guests may also enjoy unique dining experiences at Crystal Lounge, Cafe44, The Tea Lounge, Azura, Spa Caf and the St. Regis Bar, which follows in the tradition of the St. Regis brands iconic New York hotel bar and which will have its own signature Bloody Mary cocktail incorporating ingredients native to the region.

The hotel has over 32,200 square feet of leisure facilities, including the indulgent Remde Spa for ladies, two outdoor swimming pools and the first Hommage Gentlemans Grooming Atelier in the UAE.

Guests can enjoy private access to the hotels Nation Riviera Beach Club, which is poised to become one of the most sought-after leisure destinations in Abu Dhabi when it opens later this year.
