Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu Appoints Fiona Hagan as GM

Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu has appointed Ms. Fiona Hagan as General Manager.

Ms. Hagan has the distinction of being the first lady General Manager in Sabah and only the second lady to be appointed to the position of General Manager within Starwood Hotels & Resorts Malaysia.

Ms. Hagan was previously the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, Southeast Asia, for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc based in Kuala Lumpur. In her former role, Ms. Hagan managed the recruitment and development of the talent pipeline for sales and marketing teams at 28 Starwood hotels in Southeast Asia, covering Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. Ms. Hagan formulated sales and marketing strategies, identified new business opportunities, worked with local tourism authorities and operators to promote new destinations and hotels, and ensured the successful marketing and positioning of new hotels in the market.

A native of Australia, Ms. Hagan obtained a Diploma in Hospitality Management from Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts. She also studied Economics at the University of New England, Armidale in New South Wales, Australia.

In her leisure time, Ms Hagan enjoys the occasional morning workouts in the gym and spending time with her family.
