John Conway Joins One&Only Ocean Club on Paradise Island (Bahamas) as GM

John Conway has been appointed General Manager of the One&Only Ocean Club on Paradise Island, The Bahamas. In his new role, Conway will be responsible for the overall operations of the resort.

With almost 30 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Conway acted as Senior Vice President and General Manager of The Cove Atlantis, where he was instrumental in the overall strategic planning and the successful launch and positioning of the new luxury brand. Prior to that, Conway served as senior vice president and general manager of the 1,200-room Royal Towers at Atlantis, Paradise Island, where he managed the resort’s day-to-day operations and achieved profitability as well as positive guest and employee satisfaction ratings.

Conway also previously held various executive positions over 10 years at Ritz-Carlton including serving as the general manager of the Ritz-Carlton Bali and opening the Ritz-Carlton in Seoul. In addition, he was the hotel manager of the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida as well as on the opening team of the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco, the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach and the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island.

Ocean Club resort rests on miles of pristine beaches and offers three deluxe villas, 86 rooms, 14 suites and 2 two-bedroom cottages. Acclaimed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Dune offers guests some of the finest dining in the Caribbean. The One&Only Spa operated by Mandara features eight private spa villas, and there’s also an acclaimed 18-hole Tom Weiskopf golf course and a family pool.
