Qatar Airways has upgraded seat capacity on its Doha to Istanbul service with Airbus A330 aircraft.

The introduction of the new wide-body aircraft results in an additional 166 seats daily on the flights to Istanbul, a nearly 50% increase.

The Airbus A330 operating the Doha-Istanbul flights offers 24 seats in Business Class and 258 seats in Economy Class.

“After more than 10 successful years of operations in Turkey, we are absolutely delighted to introduce a wide body aircraft on our Istanbul route, which will provide our passengers extra capacity and an optimised level of service and comfort,” said Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways.

Ian Lovelock, Senior Manager Eastern Europe of Qatar Airways, said, “The route to Istanbul was initially introduced with three weekly flights and has now increased to 10 flights weekly due to strong passenger demand from the Turkish market.”
