Malaysia Airlines Appoints New Head of Strategic Communications

[HD videos below] Malaysia Airlines has appointed Dato’ Najmuddin Abdullah as Head, Strategic Communications.

Prior to his appointment, Dato' Najmuddin was the Chief Executive Officer of Kontena Nasional Global Logistics (KNGL) the freight forwarding arm of Kontena Nasional Berhad, a subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) Group; also a Government Link Company (GLC).

Dato' Najmuddin has also worked in a number of key corporate organizations including Celcom Axiata Berhad where he was Vice President, Corporate Communications responsible for News & Media Relations, Government Relations, Internal Communications, Community Relations and Event Management. Prior to that, he was Head of Brand Marketing and Communications in TH Properties Sdn Bhd responsible for marketing products of Bandar Enstek, Sepang.

He was also formerly the Managing Editor and Head of News & Current Affairs at ntv7 leading the news and current affairs division. Dato’ Najmuddin also played a key role in the re-branding exercise of My News Network (MNN) news content portal.

In Malaysia Airlines, Dato' Najmuddin’s portfolio covers Media and External Relations as well as Internal Communications and Crisis Management.

Dato' Najmuddin holds a Master of Arts Degree and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Toledo, Ohio, USA.
