Thailand’s Sawadee Travel Joins Lufthansa City Center

Lufthansa City Center, an international travel agency franchise, has welcomed Thailand’s Sawadee Travel as a member.

As such, Sawadee Travel, is now operating under the new name, Sawadee Travel Lufthansa City Center.

“Lufthansa City Center is the only international chain of travel agencies that exclusively operates in a franchise,” said Stuart Wines, Lufthansa City Center’s Senior Area Managers Asia Pacific, “Given the continued globalisation and concentration in travel agency sales, the concept is increasingly gaining in international importance.”

Since its foundation in 1991 in Germany, Lufthansa City Center has become one of the fastest growing international travel agency franchises in the world, with more than 630 offices in more than 80 countries. The network includes Lufthansa City Center travel agencies in Europe, Africa, Australia, North and Latin America, as well as in Asia.

The Lufthansa City Center franchise chain had an overall turnover of 5.03 billion Euros in 2011.
