Mandarin Oriental Jakarta Appoints New Director of Rooms

Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta has appointed Christian Dolenc as Director of Rooms.

Christian has 11 years experience in the luxury hospitality industry. His career with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group began in 2010 when he held the position of Front Office Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong.

Christian started his managerial position in The Rocco Forte Collection at the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, as Front Desk Manager, and then moved on to The Peninsula, Hong Kong as Assistant Front Office Manager.

Originally from Germany, Christian completed the Professional Development Programme at Cornell University of Hotel Administration, in Ithaca, United States. He then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration degree from GIHE, Glion, in Switzerland.

In his new role Christian will be responsible for the overall coordination of Front of House department and Housekeeping. An enthusiast in international political affairs, Christian also likes to play the saxophone and watch ice hockey games in his free time.
