Hawaiian Airlines Urges Agents and Passengers to Check Latest Requirements for Travel to USA

With the busy holiday travel season in full swing, Hawaiian Airlines is urging travel agents and passengers in Australia to be aware of updated documentation requirements for travel to the United States.

As well as completing the online process known as ESTA – the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation – passport holders must now present their ESTA documentation at check in.

The ESTA process must be completed online at least 72 hours prior to travel to the USA.

Once completed, applicants will receive a travel authorisation number, which must be presented when checking in at the airport.

Passengers other than Australian passport holders travelling under the visa waiver programme must produce a valid passport and relevant visa.

Travel agents are also asked to ensure that the passenger name on the ticket matches the name on the passport and that all passport details are inserted correctly and are complete in the passengers’ booking record (e.g. passport number, date of birth and gender etc).
