Travelport has launched its Mobile Agent app in several key regions across Asia.

Travelport-connected agents in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan using the Galileo GDS platform are now able to download Travelport Mobile Agent to access and modify bookings on-the-go via their iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch or Android devices.

The application will also be launched to Worldspan GDS users in Asia on 15 July 2013.

Travelport Mobile Agent has been successfully deployed in the Americas, Middle East, Europe, Africa, and more recently, across the Pacific region, and has been downloaded more than 19,000 times since its initial launch in July 2012.

Patrick Andres, Travelport’s Vice President and Regional Managing Director, Asia Pacific, said, “Travelport Mobile Agent is an incredibly useful tool for travel agencies and their travel agents that want to be competitive in an industry that never sleeps, where immediate response and customer service are a must for business success. We have had so much success with this solution in other regions and I have no doubt that this application will be just as successful in Asia, where mobile technology adoption is one of the highest in the world.”

Travelport Mobile Agent was developed by TTS - Travel Technology & Solutions.
