The Chuan Spa at the Langham Place, Mongkok Hong Kong hotel has introduced a Tai Chi class to help busy metropolitans achieve health and spiritual balance.

Available every Tuesday and Saturday by the hotels rooftop swimming pool, guests can step in to the Tao of Tai Chi with Master Cheung Fu Yau.

Tai Chi was originally developed for self-defense purposes in ancient China, and has since evolved to a means of meditation in motion, helping relieve stress and improve health.

Suitable for all, Tai Chi provides serenity through gentle flowing and graceful movements, ensuring that the body is in constant motion. Tai Chi is accompanied by deep breathing techniques.

Master Cheung is a certified instructor of both Tai Chi Chuan and Tai Chi Sword conferred by the Hong Kong Tai Chi Association. He is a noted Tai Chi expert and an award-winner of the International Wushu (Martial Art) Competition.

Available from 17:00 18:00 on Tuesdays, and from 10:00 11:00 on Saturdays, the Tai Chi class is conducted by Master Cheung and is complimentary for all Langham Place Hotel guests.

Visitors can join the 60-minute class for HK$80+ per session.
