Wyndham Hotel Group has launched its select-service TRYP by Wyndham hotel brand in Turkey, with the opening of the 108-room TRYP by Wyndham Istanbul Taksim.

The 10-story hotel is centrally located in Taksim, the heart of Istanbul, and joins TRYP by Wyndham’s 73 hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It also adds to Wyndham Hotel Group’s growing collection of properties in Turkey, which consists of 12 Ramada hotels and the newly opened Wyndham Istanbul Kalamis Marina, which debuted last month. The second Wyndham hotel in the country, the 306-room Wyndham Istanbul Petek, is scheduled to open in summer 2013.

“With its rapidly growing tourism industry, Turkey is full of opportunity for hotel development, especially in a vibrant city like Istanbul,” said Rui Barros, Wyndham Hotel Group’s senior vice president and managing director, EMEA. “The introduction of this cosmopolitan brand to the country helps expand our presence in this vital market while also providing travelers with the desirable blend of high-quality accommodations, city-center convenience and customer-centric ‘Own the City’ culture that differentiates TRYP by Wyndham.”

Guest rooms at TRYP by Wyndham Istanbul Taksim feature free high-speed wireless internet access, contemporary décor and flat screen televisions.

Hotel services and amenities include an on-site fitness center, complimentary high-speed wireless internet access throughout the property and airport transfer services.

Two meeting and event rooms, complete with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment and services, can accommodate up to 70 guests.

TRYP by Wyndham Istanbul Taksim is owned and operated by Tunç Otelcilik Limited Şirketi, which also operates the recently opened 102-room Ramada Hotel & Suites Istanbul Atakoy.
