FRHI Hotels & Resorts Appoints Mark Sergot as SVP Global Sales Organization

FRHI Hotels & Resorts, the parent company of hotel brands Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Swisstel Hotels & Resorts, has appointed Mark Sergot as senior vice president, global sales organization.

Taking on increased responsibility from his previous role as vice president, global sales for the company, Sergot will now focus on the management and administration of FRHIs worldwide sales network, including both global and hotel sales teams. Specifically, he will concentrate on structure, strategy and standards to ensure all sales teams are fully aligned and integrated worldwide.

With extensive hospitality background, Sergot has over 20 years of hotel and sales related experience. Over the course of his career, Sergot has held a variety of management level roles with groups such as Hilton Hotels and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

He joined Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 2000 as director, group sales for The Fairmont Chicago, and was subsequently appointed the propertys director, sales & marketing, and then regional director of sales & marketing for the Eastern United States. In 2007 he was named vice president, global sales for FRHI.

Sergot holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University and certificates in Strategic Sales Management from both the University of Chicago and Northwestern University. He also sits on the Sales Advisory Board of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association, a group which recognized him as one of the most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing in 2012.
