Fingi Inc.’s smartphone app is currently available to guests staying at the Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites London Stratford City.

The Fingi application is pre-loaded onto Samsung Galaxy S III Smartphones and is being presented to VIP guests upon check in throughout the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Fingi-powered Samsung smartphone enables guests to access and customize their room, stay connected while in London on a local data plan, request hotel services while on property or out and about in the city, receive information, and stay up to date on the latest event news.

Fingi replaces the traditional room key; by using NFC technology the smartphone can unlock the guest room. The app is capable of connecting through the hotel’s existing systems to operate all amenities in-room, including lights, curtains, temperature and entertainment; and provides a direct connection to all hotel services, from concierge to restaurant reservations.

Off property, the mobile device provides guests with a local phone number and wireless hotspot, which can be used in conjunction with laptops and tablets.

“Fingi products give hotels solutions and platforms that are relevant to their clientele’s mobile lifestyle,” said Carl Rubin, VP of Business Development, Fingi Inc.

The Fingi app can also be downloaded to Android or iOS operating systems. It can then store a guest’s preferences so that the next time they check in to a hotel, their communications and entertainment options will be pre-programmed to their desired settings providing guests with a consistent experience throughout the Fingi-powered properties.

“This application provides the tools for hotels with a mobile strategy to provide connectivity with their guests before, during and after their stay and offers the hotel a new level of analytics for improving guest services,” said Mr. Rubin.

New York-based Fingi installed its first live, revenue generating mobile platform in a hotel on February 2012 at the Aloft Bangkok, Sukhumvit 11 in Thailand.

The mobile platform has also been featured in high-end residential complexes, and has received industry praise and recognition, being awarded runner-up for most innovative new product at the prestigious HTNG annual convention in April 2012.
