Tune Hotels is expanding in Indonesia with the opening of its latest hotel in Pasar Baru, Jakarta, scheduled for 12 July2012.

To celebrate the opening, guests can book a one night’s stay from only 75,000 Rupiah or approximately US$8.

The 75,000 Rupiah offer is available until 14 May only and valid for stays from 12 July to 31 December 2012. Terms and conditions apply.

Tune Hotel Pasar Baru will have 168 rooms in total, 117 Doubles, 36 Twin-sharing and a special needs room and is centrally located in Jakarta amongst the hustle and bustle of the shops and vendors that are popular among tourists and locals alike in this popular shopping destination. The hotel is a short walk to South East Asia’s largest wholesale complex, Mangga Dua and a few minutes’ drive to the Kemayoran Expo Centre.

Tune Hotel Pasar Baru is the global brand’s third property in Indonesia and the first hotel in central Jakarta. Pasar Baru, which literally means “new market”, has a rich history of once being old Jakarta’s most important business centres for the mostly Chinese, Indian and Malay traders who settled down in the city and opened operations there. It is one of the rare streets in Jakarta where you can actually stroll along and offers shoppers stores with an old-time feeling. Locals and now more international visitors visit Pasar Baru for family-owned stores that mostly sell a variety of shoes, textiles, watches and even vintage items.

According to Mark Lankester, Tune Hotels Group CEO, “Jakarta has been on our radar screen for a long time now, with many of our guests consistently asking about our plans there. The wait is over and we are ecstatic with finally opening the first hotel in the capital of Indonesia. What better place than to be in the heart of where the rich and deep history of Jakarta came to be and being centrally located to food, shopping and entertainment in this large widely spread city. We look forward to being able to spread the word to our Indonesian neighbours and of course look after inbound travelers from SE Asia and beyond.”

Other Tune Hotel properties in Indonesia are located in Kuta and Legian, Bali.
