SilverNeedle Hospitality Appoints New Managing Director and CEO

SilverNeedle Hospitality has appointed Mr. Iqbal Jumabhoy as Managing Director and CEO.

SilverNeedle Hospitality, which currently manages over 4,000 keys in the Asia Pacific region, aims to expand its network to over 10,000 keys by 2016.

As Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Jumabhoy will be driving growth of SilverNeedle Hospitality’s integrated offerings; investment, development and management of SilverNeedle branded hospitality properties in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Jumabhoy is an experienced Chief Executive with in depth expertise in a number of industries including banking, real estate and corporate management. He has served on the boards of listed companies in the United Kingdom, India, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

Most recently, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the Rendezvous Hospitality Group. A subsidiary of the Straits Trading Company Ltd; the Rendevous Hospitality Group owns and operates hotels in Singapore, China, Australia and New Zealand.
