The Angsana Laguna Phuket has joined forces with Singapore-based nightlife operator Attica Group to launch Xana, a new all-day beach club concept on the tropical island of Phuket, Thailand.

Xana officially opens on 30 June 2012, with a launch party hosted by celebrity DJs from around the world.

Xana offers a seamless day-into-night beach club experience which begins at 11:00am with lunch and segueing to dinner and late-night cocktails. The club also plans to launch brunch service on Sundays.

Xana offers an extensive wine list from around the world and an all-day bottle service with complimentary mixers is available, while a cocktail menu features creations such as the Xanajito (Ten Cane rum, muddled lime and mint leaves, local mangosteen and maoberry juice) and the Siam Sunray (Ketel One vodka, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, ginger, Thai chili, Malibu, lime and soda).

Devised by Executive Chef Mirko Cappa who hails from Italy, Xana’s Mediterranean-influenced lunch and dinner menus feature a variety of small plates drawing from the culinary heritage of Thailand and Europe. Starters include Tuna Carpaccio with Fennel Salsa, Orange and Pomegranate and Thai Golden Prawns in Crispy Noodle with Mango Sambal. Mains include Ribs on the Barbie served with Xana’s homemade bbq sauce and Spaghetti Scoglio in Cartoccio.

Xana features a 35 metre swim-up pool bar overlooking the beach and sea beyond. Four exclusive cabanas accommodate up to 14 people each and can be reserved in advance, while double and single loungers that offer a front row view of the Andaman Sea are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The second storey rooftop deck functions as an area for VIP guests and offers an ideal perch from which to witness colourful sunsets. The lounge area on the front lawn is ideal for guests who prefer to relax under the shade of pine trees. There is also a covered area for dining featuring cocktail table seating from which to welcome the night as the beat goes up tempo. Sunsets at Xana bring the “Secret Sunset Sessions” featuring a rotating cast of performers that “spontaneously” stage a short show every evening.

At night, Xana transforms into a sultry bar and al fresco club where the music’s tempo rises and LED lights in the pool add to the party atmosphere. Resident DJ and Music Director Frank Richards spins an eclectic and uplifting mix of down tempo, lounge, chill out, house and deep house, all with a touch of funk, soul and disco. The evening’s music will progress from relaxing, soothing sounds to an upbeat selection of tunes to encourage dancing. Internationally renowned DJs will be flown in regularly to create themed club nights.

To celebrate the official opening of Xana on 30 June, celebrity DJ Paul Harris of Grammy award-winning British music trio Dirty Vegas will be spinning, along with DJs Gary Gecko of Koh Samui and Frank Richards from the USA. The opening party begins at 16:00 with the inaugural Secret Sunset Session and extends well into the night with DJ sets until 01:30.

With its multi-levels and picturesque beachfront location, Xana can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. Accommodation for groups both large and small can be facilitated at the newly opened resort Angsana Laguna Phuket, which features 409 rooms and an abundance of activities to entertain groups of all ages.
