FCm Appoints New Global Director of Sales

FCm Travel Solutions has further strengthened its global leadership team with the appointment of Alex Armstrong to the role of global director of sales.

Alex, who is based in FCms regional head office in London, assumed the position 1 February 2012, following more than three years as head of sales for FCms operation in the United Kingdom (UK).

As part of his new role, Alex will continue to lead FCms UK sales division and will be focused on strategy development for FCms global sales team. Alex will also oversee the global coordination and management of FCms multinational sales pipeline.

Working closely with FCms sales leaders for Asia Pacific (APAC), Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), North America, Latin America (LATAM) and Caribbean regions, Alex will also be focusing on strengthening the companys global sales platform to increase consistency and enable new multinational business growth across the global network.

Alex brings to the role almost 20 years of experience in the travel, tourism and sales industries. He began his professional career in retail travel and then rapidly progressed to management roles in retail sales, operations and business travel recruitment.

Alex joined FCms parent company Flight Centre UK in 2000 as the companys first dedicated business development manager (BDM) and since then has contributed significantly to the growth and success of Flight Centre UKs corporate travel division.
