Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Wednesday, 6 June 2012

Air Tahiti Nui will expand its Australian presence from next month, introducing new codeshare services with Qantas from Melbourne and Brisbane to Papeete, Tahiti.

The new services, flight TN 1404 from Melbourne to Auckland and flight TN 1406 from Brisbane to Auckland, are now available for sale for travel from 1 July 2012.

In Auckland, the new flights will connect with all flights operated by Air Tahiti Nui, which departs twice weekly, increasing to three per week in peak seasons.

Air Tahiti Nui and Qantas already codeshare from Sydney to Papeete, with Qantas operating trans Tasman sectors and Air Tahiti Nui flying between Auckland and Papeete.

The expansion of the Qantas codeshare agreement to include Melbourne and Brisbane reflects the growing popularity of Tahiti as a holiday destination for travellers from Australia.
