Air Astana Revises LHR Check-in and Security Procedures During London 2012

For the period of the London Olympic Games and London Paralympic Games, 14 July 2012 to 11 September 2012, Air Astana has revised its check-in and security procedures in place at London Heathrow. Check-in for all flights will open 3 hours before scheduled departure time and close 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Registration/Check-in for KC902 on Tuesdays from London Heathrow will open at 17:15. Check-in desks will close promptly at 19:30 local time. After this time, check-in will not be permitted and travel refused.

Registration/Check-in for KC902 on Saturdays will open at 13:30. Check-in desks will close promptly a 15:45 local time. After this time, check-in will not be permitted and travel refused.

Passengers with VAT reclaims are advised to arrive early at the airport in order to complete VAT procedures and be at check-in on time.

London Heathrow Airport will also be using enhanced security controls and procedures during the Olympic Games period. Travellers are advised to proceed through security and passport controls soon after registration/check-in to avoid delays.

A departure gates close 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Passengers are requested to go through departure security controls and proceed to the departure gate before this time, as the airline reserves the right to offload you and your baggage should you be late to the gate.
