AirAsia Celebrates 5th Birthday in Australia with Promotion

AirAsia X is celebrating its fifth birthday in Australia with special fares on sale from just A$9.

To celebrate the milestone, the whole network is up for grabs at special prices including Bali, Phuket, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, Penang, Tokyo, Clark, Seoul, Singapore, Hong Kong and more.

The sale started today 03:01 AEDT and runs until 4 November 2012, for travel between 1 May and 30 September 2013.

AirAsia X - the long haul, low fare arm of AirAsia Group - began operations into Australia with flights from Kuala Lumpur to the Gold Coast on 2 November 2007. Perth and Melbourne were added a year later. The Sydney-Kuala Lumpur route was launched on 2 April 2012.

AirAsia’s affiliate Indonesia AirAsia also serves Australia with daily flights to Bali from Perth.

So to celebrate five successful years in Australia we have all the low fares you could wish for.”

One way flights to AirAsia X’s hub in Kuala Lumpur - the gateway to over 88 destinations across South East Asia and beyond - start from A$249 one way from Melbourne, Gold Coast, Perth and Sydney.

Flights from Perth to Bali are on sale from A$139 one way.

From Kuala Lumpur, travel on to loads of amazing destinations including Langkawi, Penang and Kota Bharu from A$9; Phnom Penh from A$18; Bangkok from A$21; Phuket from A$27; Vientiane and Ho Chi Minh from A$31; Chiang Mai and Siem Reap from A$37; Clark from A$49; Colombo from A$59; Guangzhou and Shenzhen from A$64 and Hong Kong from A$69 one way.

There are also plenty of Fly-Thru fares to take advantage of departing all Australian ports. AirAsia’s Fly-Thru service allows you to book straight through to your destination of choice stopping via Kuala Lumpur.

One way flights from Melbourne, Gold Coast, Perth and Sydney to Bangkok and Langkawi are from A$279; Ho Chi Minh from A$289; and Clark from A$309.

Other popular Fly-Thru destinations like Bali start from A$309 one way from Melbourne, Gold Coast and Sydney; Beijing from Melbourne and Gold Coast from A$379; and Seoul from Melbourne and Gold Coast from A$349.
