[HD video below] Barely five months since setting up its Asia Pacific hub in Singapore as part of its Southeast Asia expansion strategy, Premier Inn, one of the United Kingdoms leading economy hotel brands, has signed its first hotel in Indonesia.

The hotel will be built in Bali in the Jimbaran precinct and is expected to open during the second half of 2013.

The hotel will be built in partnership with PT Alda Bali Indotel and will feature Premier Inns signature rooms, a restaurant and bar, as well as a swimming pool.

In 2011, Bali saw close to three million tourists, a growth of more than 10% from the previous year. Currently, the Island of the Gods is served by almost 200 flights arriving into Denpasars International Airport daily.

Mr Erik van Keulen, the Premier Inns Senior Vice President for Development, Asia Pacific, said, We are among the leading economy hotel brands across the globe with particular strength in offering a great nights sleep and comfortable stay at affordable prices. Premier Inn appeals to the fast-growing low-cost business and leisure travel market. We will continue to seek like-minded partners from the region who see this as a strong investment proposition.

First established in 1987, the Premier Inn brand is part of the London Stock Exchange-listed Whitbread group, which has a rich history dating back nearly three centuries.
