Sponsor: Our coverage of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2013 is sponsored by the Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel. Just 28 minutes from downtown Hong Kong and conveniently located near the airport, AsiaWorld-Expo and Hong Kong Disneyland, the 5-star luxury Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel is the ideal and affordable choice for MICE, business and leisure travelers.

It was only on Tuesday that we reported that registration for the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2013 would open on 24 October.

Now, just over a day later, the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association (HKAAA) has confirmed that due to the overwhelming response, the online enrolment for the Marathon and Half Marathon is already closed.

There are however still limited quotas available by post, but the organizer strongly urges runners to submit their applications as early as possible.

Chairman of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2013 Organizing Committee, William Ko, said, "We would like to thank all parties for their unfailing support of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon. All online quotas were filled within 2 days. Once again the race has been the largest participatory sporting event in Hong Kong which is well received by the passionate runners."
