HomStay Suites Williston Installs Self-Service Check-In Technology

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Thursday, 26 January 2012

Ariane Systems, a leader in self-service check-in/out technology for the hospitality industry, has installed its interactive check-in kiosk technology at HomStay Suites Williston.

The property is the very first to open under the new extended-stay brand from Brutger Equities, Inc.

The interactive kiosk solution from Ariane Systems provides HomStay guests with quick and easy access to their guestrooms, keeping the hotel’s business-focused travelers on the move while significantly reducing labor requirements for the 78-room property.

The Ariane Systems solution integrates seamlessly with technology from other vendors, including the Micros Opera property management system and the Onity locking system.

Using a customizable interface designed by Ariane Systems, the entire process from entering a reservation number to obtaining a room keycard typically takes less than 30 seconds from start to finish, including allowing guests to pay with a credit card at the terminal.

Upon checking out, guests simply insert their keycards into the kiosk to review folios and settle any incidental costs, receiving their invoice immediately.

Deb Steding, BEI Hospitality Regional Manager, said, “By implementing interactive kiosk technology from Ariane Systems, we have added convenience and flexibility for our guests, as well as making substantial improvements to the hotel’s bottom line.”

With the proliferation of self-service technology at airports and in other consumer venues, such as ATMs and grocery checkout, many consumers are not only comfortable with self-service, many prefer it.

“Besides the obvious cost savings that self-service technology provides to hotels like HomStay Suites, check-in/out kiosks offer guests the kind of self-service options that they have come to expect,” said Ariane Systems CEO Laurent Cardot. “The work-focused business travelers that frequent Homstay Suites value efficiency and appreciate control over the check-in and check-out transaction. Ariane’s sleek kiosk design and attractive user interface offers an upscale look and feel while delivering an efficient, no-nonsense check-in and check-out experience.”
