Tradewinds Hotels and Resorts, one of the largest hotel owners in Malaysia, has installed RateTiger’s channel manager, RTSuite, to manage up to 12 channels across five of its nine properties to gain control over room availability and introduce new packages.

RTSuite has enabled Tradewinds Hotels and Resorts to have greater flexibility in rate management and inventory distribution and thereby introduce three new product types, Advance Purchase, Discounted Rates and Minimum Night Stay, to offer travelers greater choice.

Hamidah Ishak, Asset Manager at Tradewinds Corporation said, “We experience excellent occupancy levels during peak season at our Tradewinds Hotels & Resort, but we needed more exposure to ensure consistent sales throughout the year. The time to accurately update multiple sites within our contracted agreement with OTAs was limiting our use of third party connections. RateTiger gave us instant control over inventory distribution, allowing us to handle more product types while automating the process. The diversification of product and exposure increased our bookings immediately.”

The success of RateTiger at the Tradewinds properties led them to install the product at Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur and The Danna Langkawi. “We are very happy with RateTiger and we are exploring their new products and additional features to add to our current RTSuite subscription. Further the customer support is quick and has helped us in every way possible to generate more sales and revenue,” Hamidah added.

Tradewinds Hotels and Resorts is a mix of leisure and business hotels including Mutiara hotels, Hilton Kuching, Hotel Istana KL, Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa and The Danna Langkawi.
