Canon has released a new flagship, the EOS-1D X Full Frame Digital SLR camera.

The 1D X features a new 18.1-megapixel Full Frame Canon CMOS Sensor and Dual DIGIC 5+ image processors that support 14-bit image processing.

An extended standard ISO ranging from ISO 100-51200 is provided for greater shooting flexibility under different lighting situations, while the new camera is also equipped with an impressive 61-point High Density Reticular AF System.

Coupled with 12fps High Speed Continuous Shooting, the EOS-1D X will appeal to professional photographers and extreme enthusiasts, who demand the highest speeds combined with the latest technology, in a weather-proof body solid enough to take a few knocks.

Despite a few delays, Canons new EOS-1D X Professional Full Frame Digital SLR Camera is now available in a few countries in Asia, and is gradually becoming available elsewhere around the world.

Accessories for the 1D X, especially here in Asia, are expected to become available for sale in the coming days (25 June in Hong Kong).
