The Centara Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa Mauritius will open on 10 December 2012, five days ahead of its original 15 December scheduled date.

Centara Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa Mauritius is on the eastern side of the island, located on the coast road and just an hour’s drive from the international airport.

Set amidst manicured gardens and taking its design theme from the vibrant and colourful culture of Mauritius, the resort is directly on the beach and has its own lagoon.

There are 100 guestrooms with sea or mountain views, and each featuring a terrace or balcony and with comforts including international TV channels and free Wi-Fi.

Spa Cenvaree offers a range of therapies and treatments drawn from Thai and Indian heritage and featuring natural products, and there is a fitness centre and a free-form swimming pool.

The resort is family friendly, with a children’s pool and a supervised Kids’ Club that includes Camp Safari for the young ones and an E-Zone with meeting space and games for the teens.

Restaurant facilities include Café Nautilus, a thatched open-air restaurant serving international themed buffets, Phi, a beachfront venue serving Asian and Indian Ocean cuisines, and Aqua 180, a convivial beachfront bar with comfort food.

“We are ready to welcome our first guests on 10 December, slightly ahead of the scheduled date, and in good time for the high season,” said the resort’s general manager, Mr.John Bendtsen. “The response we have had from the travel industry professionals here has been a very positive one.”
