AirAsia has extended its partnership with Queens Park Rangers (QPR) for the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League (BPL) season.

Subsequent to the renewed partnership, AirAsia is set to become the football clubs Official Playing Kit Sponsor and Main Club Partner, with the airlines logo to appear on all QPRs playing kit (home, away, third) for the whole duration of the 2012/13 BPL season.

AirAsia Group Commercial Head, Kathleen Tan, said, We are delighted to renew our partnership with QPR ... Our relationship has grown tremendously since we initiated the partnership in September last year, so we believe its time to take it to the next level by becoming the sole official playing kit sponsor for the new BPL season. We wish QPR all the best for the upcoming season, and we look forward to do our best in achieving our joint dreams and aspirations.

The partnership marks a renewed major involvement in sports by the low cost carrier.

QPR Marketing Director, Becky Grote said We are delighted to continue our partnership with AirAsia for another season in the Premier League. Moving AirAsia onto all three of our playing kits allows them the maximum exposure to the growing worldwide football audience. We have great ambition for the growth of QPR in the Asian market, and AirAsia provide us with the perfect platform to raise awareness of the Club in new territories.

QPR returned to top flight football in the Barclays Premier League (BPL) for the first time in 15 years after clinching the 2010 / 2011 npower Championship.
