Le Monet Hotel, Camp John Hay, in Baguio City, the Philippines, has joined Worldhotels.

The hotel is a charming 70-room retreat in the picturesque mountain resort Camp John Hay, a former air force recreational facility.

The hotel neighbours a Jack Nicklaus-designed signature golf course and convention centre, with recreational options extending to walking trails and pony rides in the pristine fresh air of the “City of Pines”.

With scenic views over pine woodlands, dining options range from all-day restaurant Dinelli Gourmet serving both traditional and contemporary cuisine to American-style Steakhouse.

A chill-out lounge The Malt Room serves fine wines, single malts, premium liquors and crafted beers with tapas snacks. Guests can also opt for picnic lunches or dinners in the grounds of Camp John Hay.

With a heated pool and spa, Le Monet Hotel is “the perfect place to unwind with fresh air, mountain vistas and outdoor activities just a stroll away,” said Worldhotels Vice President Asia Pacific, Roland Jegge.

Interior design features a crystal chandelier by famous Korean designer Song Myung Soo in the lobby. Also showcased are the works of renowned painters including Jose Joya, Ang Kiukok, Federico Alcuaz and Melencio Sapnu.

Guest rooms with private verandas incorporate internet TV and complimentary wifi, as well as the only automated heated water closets among hotels in Baguio.

“Baguio City is only a five-hour drive from Manila, but a world away from the bustling capital, offering a delightfully relaxing and cool retreat in the mountains, and Le Monet Hotel is synonymous with Baguio,” added Mr. Jegge.

Having first opened in early 2012, Le Monet Hotel, Camp John Hay joins Worldhotels as a First Class Collection affiliate.
