One&Only Le Saint Géran Appoints Charles De Foucault as GM

One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius has appointed Charles de Foucault as General Manager.

An accomplished hotel executive, Charles will report directly to Alan Leibman, CEO of Kerzner International.

In his new role, Charles will be responsible for the overall operations of One&Only Le Saint Géran, Mauritius.

Charles was previously General Manager of Ayana Resort & Spa in Bali, for almost three years. Under Charles’ leadership, Ayana Bali won the 2011 Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice as “Asia’s Best Resort” and in 2010 was voted “Number One Spa in the World”. During his tenure, Charles implemented a successful re-branding of Ayana Bali (previously the Ritz-Carlton Bali).

Prior to joining Ayana Bali, Charles held the position of General Manager for the Leela Palace in Bangalore, India. During his time at the Leela Palace, Charles successfully opened a new wing of the hotel, adding an additional 105 rooms to the property and helping to re-define the standards for luxury in India.

Charles has over 30 years of experience in the luxury hotel segment. He started his career with Ritz-Carlton where he spent over 17 years in a variety of positions at Ritz-Carlton hotels throughout the US and the Caribbean before relocating to Asia in 2002 where he took on the role of General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Seoul Korea.

Charles studied hotel management at Ecole Hotelière in Nice, France and is fluent in both French and English.
