Accor has won the management contract of what is currently the Sheraton Shenyang Lido Hotel. Effective 1 January 2013 the hotel will be renamed as Sofitel Shenyang Lido.

The Sofitel Shenyang Lido features 590 rooms and suites, three restaurants, two bars, two ballrooms, five meeting rooms, a spa center, a fitness center, a swimming pool, a table tennis room, a squash court and 80 parking stalls. The hotel also has an executive lounge, which is complemented by a fully equipped business centre.

Sofitel Shenyang Lido is located on Qingnian Street, the most bustling commercial boulevard in the heart of the city. The hotel is also located within close proximity to new and modern office buildings, government agencies, shopping malls and an International Exhibition Center, at the gateway point entering the city center.

For those wishing to visit the city’s many tourist attractions, the Imperial Palace, along with other popular sightseeing attractions, are all reachable in a 30-minute drive, while Shenyang Taoxian International Airport is approximately 15 minutes away.

Michel Molliet, Vice President of Sofitel Greater China, said, “This additional address in Shenyang will strengthen Sofitel’s presence in Northern China already established for many years with its flagship properties in Beijing and Harbin. We are delighted to establish a presence in the bustling city of Shenyang and kick-off the new year with this addition to our already extensive network in China. The network will be further augmented with openings later in the new year of the People’s Grand Hotel Xian, Sofitel Shanghai Jing’An Huamin and Sofitel Sanya Haitan Bay Resort & Spa.”
