UEFA has appointed Kuoni as the Official UEFA Euro 2016 Accommodation Agency, with a signing ceremony held in the French capital, Paris.

Kuoni is an experienced travel agent that already possesses a solid knowledge of the specificities of accommodation services to be provided on the occasion of a UEFA European Football Championship, having been the official accommodation agency for UEFA Euro 2008 in Austria/Switzerland.

Kuoni will be offering accommodation services to the participating teams, match officials, commercial partners, media representatives, broadcast partners, suppliers and the staff involved in the organisation of UEFA Euro 2016.

It is expected that Kuoni will provide rooms for more than 250’000 nights during the final tournament itself. The company is strongly represented in France through its network of agencies.

UEFA Euro 2016 will be the first edition to showcase 24 teams and the 51 matches of the final tournament will be played across 10 stadia in France between 1 June and 10 July.

Commenting on the announcement, Jacques Lambert, President of Euro 2016 S.A.S., said, “It is very important for the tournament that everyone feels at home in all the accommodation facilities provided. France is renowned worldwide for its high hospitality standard, and we are pleased to work with an organisation that is deeply rooted in our country and that has an excellent reputation in the international tourism sector.”
