Aer Lingus has advised the travel industry that from 1 January 2013, the base commission level for all tickets issued in Australia will be dropped from 5% to 0%.

In order to claim the existing base commission of 5%, bookings must be ticketed prior to 1 January 2013.

All bookings issued by agents on or after this date will be affected by the commission change.

The airline said that no exceptions will be permitted, and ADMs will be raised for all incorrect commission claims made on or after 1 January 2013.
