Chan Brothers Enhances Service with Amadeus Mobile Traveller

Chan Brothers Travel, one of the largest leisure travel agencies in Singapore, has selected Amadeus Mobile Traveller to provide it with a fully integrated mobile application supporting pre-trip, in-trip and post-trip travel needs.

Mobile technology is transforming the future of air travel. Global smartphone subscriptions stood at 6 billion at the end of 2011 and are estimated to reach approximately 7 billion by 2015, with 65% of those users in Asia.

In Singapore, the mobile penetration rate stood at 149.6% at the end of 2011, making the city-state one of the highest in mobile phone ownership in Asia.

Amadeus Mobile Traveller is a white label, mobile application designed for travel agencies in Asia Pacific that will allow travellers to:

• plan and book trips;
• check itinerary and flight status;
• synchronise with their calendars;
• access destination information; and
• through social media integration, share their experiences on-the-go from their smartphones.
