Jumeirah has promoted Ross McAuley to the role of Vice President, Brand Marketing for Jumeirah Group and Shaf Butt as Director of Marketing for the Dubai Commercial Team.

Ross McAuley joined Jumeirah Group in 2007, initially responsible for Marketing and Innovation across the whole of the Madinat Jumeirah Resort. Then, as Director of Marketing in Dubai, he successfully led the central marketing function for Jumeirah’s hotels and resorts in Dubai, including 70 restaurants and bars, convention and meeting facilities.

Before joining Jumeirah, Ross held marketing and brand management positions for Sony UK in London and DHL Express Middle East based in Bahrain.

In his new role, Ross will be responsible for driving the Jumeirah brand promise globally and will be responsible for Brand Management and Customer Experience, Brand Marketing/Advertising, Guest Recognition and Loyalty, and the Brand Digital platform for the Jumeirah Group.

A Scottish national, Ross has a degree in Law from Aberdeen University in Scotland.

A British national, Shaf Butt joined Jumeirah Group in 2007, initially responsible for Rooms Marketing at Madinat Jumeirah – The Arabian Resort. In 2009 he was promoted to Director of Marketing - Rooms for the Dubai hotels.

Before joining Jumeirah, Shaf held key marketing positions for companies such as Carphone Warehouse in London, UK and Axiom Telecom in the Middle East.

He holds a degree in Media from the University of Southampton, England.
