Serge van Vegten Joins Shanghai's 88 Xintiandi as Hotel Manager

Mr Serge van Vegten has been appointed Hotel Manager of 88 Xintiandi, a boutique hotel located in the heart of Shanghai’s Xintiandi district.

Mr van Vegten is an experienced hotel professional with more than 19 years experience in the hospitality industry and has extensive knowledge in front office operations, reservations as well as rooms and revenue management.

A Dutch national, Serge has an impressive international career having worked in many luxury hotels throughout the world including Hong Kong, Washington USA and his home city of Amsterdam.

He has lived in China since 2006 and prior to joining 88 Xintiandi, he worked as Operations Director for Beijing’s Schoolhouse hotel.

Managed by Langham Hospitality Group since September 2011, 88 Xintiandi offers 53 suites and is surrounded by luxury boutiques, international restaurants, bars and historic Shikumen style houses. All guests at 88 Xintiandi can enjoy the full-service Club Lounge, located on Level 3, where they can relax throughout the day or while away a few hours on the outdoor terrace. 88 Xintiandi also offers a state-of-the art gym for guests looking to workout or they can also enjoy access to the adjacent The Langham Xintiandi’s Chuan Spa and an indoor heated swimming pool.
