BOC Aviation and COMAC Sign LCA for 20 C919 Aircraft

[HD video below] BOC Aviation and COMAC have signed a Launch Customer Agreement for 20 C919 aircraft.

BOC is the 11th launch customer for the C919 which now has a order log of 235 aircraft. This is the latest LCA signed since the C919 entered into the Detailed Design Phase at the end of last year.

The other companies to have ordered the C919 include Air China, China Eastern, China Southern, Hainan Group, CDB Leasing, GECAS, ICBC Finance Leasing, Sichuan Airlines, Bank of Communications Finance Leasing and China Aircraft Leasing.

BOC Aviation is a Singapore-based aircraft leasing company. Its portfolio is one of the youngest in the business with an average age of just under 4 years. BOC Aviation now has a fleet of more than 170 aircraft flying with over 40 airlines worldwide.

BOC's headquarters are in Singapore and the company is 100% owned by Bank of China.

The C919 is a 150-seater single-aisle aircraft. COMAC is aiming for the C919's first flight in 2014 and hopes to get airworthiness certification and EIS in 2016.
