In May 2012, the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok, the first Eastin Grand under the Eastin Hotels & Residences portfolio, will open for business. Reservations are already being accepted.

Directly linked to the hotel, the Surasak BTS sky train station will conveniently connect guests to all business centers, department shopping stores, tourism attractions and entertainment areas within minutes.

When Eastin Grand Hotel opens its doors, the hotel will feature 390 guestrooms with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that open onto the Chao Phraya River or the city skyline.

“Business is surely rebounding in Thailand again” says Mr. Atilla Erda, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing. “The hotel is the perfect addition to our portfolio and expansion strategies as this opens up another sector of the market for us. Moreover, from research we have found that there is still a gap in the market for city hotels here. Travelers are seeking well-appointed accommodation situated in a great location and designed for modern travelers at affordable prices.”

The hotel will offer 1,200 square meters of state-of-the-art meeting facilities. Guests will also be able to relax and unwind overlooking the Chaopraya River at the hotels infinity-edge swimming pool and utilize the floor-to-ceiling glass fitness center located on the 14th floor of the hotel.

On the culinary front, the hotel will offer an all-day dining and buffet restaurant located on the 2nd floor of the hotel, a signature Mediterranean restaurant overlooking the infinity pool and vistas beyond, as well as “Chef Man” an authentic Chinese restaurant located on the 3rd floor of the hotel with direct access to the BTS Surasak Station.

Other facilities and services will include an executive lounge situated on the top floor of the hotel, free Wi-Fi in all guest rooms and public areas and a dedicated family guest floor with a 100sqm children’s playroom room.

Introductory room rates to stay between May and October 2012 start at THB 2,500 net for a Superior room and THB 5,000 net for an Executive Deluxe room inclusive of breakfast for 2 persons.  This rate is based on a per room per night basis for two persons and applicable for all room types, service charge and government tax. The offer is applicable for Thai residents and expatiates with Thailand work permits only. Other terms and conditions apply.

Mr. John Westoby is General Manager of the new hotel.
